Become a Health and Wellness Coach!

Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles is seeking individuals ages 50 and older to volunteer offering peer companion services to older adults in the community.

As a Health and Wellness Coach you will enhance the lives of seniors by:

  • Spending quality time doing activities you both enjoy
  • Accompanying seniors on shopping trips, doctor's appointments, or on social outings
  • Monitoring their well-being, identifying changing needs, and easing access to community resources

Health and Wellness Coaches will benefit from:

  • Professional training to develop valuable skill sets
  • Creating a more meaningful retirement

We understand that it's hard to ask for support sometimes, but at some point everyone needs a little help. Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles offers a free senior companionship program that brings Senior Health and Wellness Coaches into the lives and homes of older adults, ages 65 and older. Get the support you need from a caring and compassionate peer who understands and can relate to you.

A Health and Wellness Coach will enhance your life by:

  • Spending quality time with you doing activities you both enjoy
  • Accompanying you on shopping trips, doctor's appointments, or on social outings
  • Connecting you to community resources and assist you in navigating health care systems
  • Helping you stay living independently

Social services for Nazi victims have been supported by a grant from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
JFSLA receives funds from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Holocaust Survivor Emergency Assistance Fund, administered by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany for the benefit of needy Jewish Nazi victims.
Funds have been provided by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany for the Emergency Assistance Program for Nazi Victims at the discretion of the United States District Court supervising the lawsuit In Re: Holocaust Victim Assets Litigation (Swiss Banks).
