Local LA food pantries brace for demand surge amid SNAP delay

Approximately 5.5 million Californians could see delays to their SNAP benefits this week, as federal funding for the food assistance program runs out on Saturday.
On Friday, two federal judges ordered the Trump administration to use emergency funds to pay some SNAP benefits in November.
Despite these rulings, it is unclear when the money will be distributed.
