The work we do is made possible through the generosity of thousands of passionate donors, foundations and organizations who join JFS in our mission to transform the lives of those living in need in our community.

Each contribution enables us to continue to provide vital programs and services to more and more people each year.


Your Dollars At Work

  • $50 provides a healthy afterschool snack for children living in our homeless shelter.
  • $180 provides and installs a home-safety device for an older adult or individual living with a disability.
  • $360 provides a weekly support group for new mothers suffering from post-partum depression
  • $500 provides five hours of support for our emergency domestic violence hotline
  • $1000 provides a special trip, lunch and supervision for members of our Chaverim group, a social recreational program for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • $2500 provides hot, kosher and nutritious lunch for 200 older adults at one of our neighborhood meal sites.
  • $3600 provides internet safety education classes for 50 parents and children through our Safety Kid Program.

Social services for Nazi victims have been supported by a grant from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
JFSLA receives funds from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Holocaust Survivor Emergency Assistance Fund, administered by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany for the benefit of needy Jewish Nazi victims.
Funds have been provided by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany for the Emergency Assistance Program for Nazi Victims at the discretion of the United States District Court supervising the lawsuit In Re: Holocaust Victim Assets Litigation (Swiss Banks).
