July 03, 2008 - LOS ANGELES (July 3, 2008)—On June 16, Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles (JFS) installed Jeff Nagler as its president for a two-year term. The agency also welcomed nine new board members: Colette Ament, Ira Cohen, Vicki Gold, Bryan Moeller, Steve Paul, Marvin Perer, Lisa Ribner, Toni M. Schulman and Meridith Weiss. Robert M. Stern, president of the Center of Government studies, was the keynote speaker at the ceremony, which was held at JFS headquarters in Los Angeles.

November 20, 2007 - LOS ANGELES (November 20, 2007)— On October 9, 2007, the Mid City West Community Council (MCWCC) honored the senior service programs of Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles (JFS) with an award for extraordinary service to the community. Doreen Klee, director of the JFS/Freda Mohr Center, accepted the award on behalf of JFS. Ms. Klee was also inducted as a member of the council. The JFS/Freda Mohr Center, located at 330 North Fairfax Avenue, provides a variety of social and recreational services to local seniors.
