Volunteers are an important part of daily operations at JFS. From clerical support to greeting clients and addressing needs, volunteers provide information and assistance to a broad spectrum of community members.
Volunteer Opportunities Include:

In Our Volunteer Services Department
- Helping plan and facilitate recognition events
- Assisting with recruiting and training volunteers
- Helping with monitoring and evaluating volunteer satisfaction
- Providing assistance with data input

In Our Central Access Program
- Responding to phone inquiries, assessing needs, and connecting clients to resources

General Office Assistance
- Assisting with phones, filing, newsletters, and mailings

In Our Human Resources and Finance Departments
- Providing administrative support in the Finance Department
- Assisting with Human Resource projects, including new employee orientation packets
- Helping to maintain personnel files

In Our Public Policy and Advocacy Departments
- Advocating with government agencies and public officials on issues that affect JFS clients and programs

In Our Communication Department
- Helping with marketing and public relations
- Assisting with creating and designing forms, fliers, and letters

In Our Resource Development Department
- Helping with research and writing of grants for programs at the agency
