Jewish Family Service can act as conservator of a person when that individual cannot take care of his/her daily needs, or has significantly impaired judgment. These individuals, whether they are frail, cognitively impaired elders, or younger people with disabilities, are often the most vulnerable and isolated in our community. A JFS conservatorship assures dignity and quality of life for those who can no longer take care of themselves and who have no existing relatives to assume their care.
